Three of Three * Special Entry

Good afternoon.

As of today, I have been accepted to each of the three colleges I applied to.

College of Charleston, Coastal Carolina University, and Clemson University, in order of acceptance.

Actually, it feels weird, though I am satisfied. I'm quite calm, much unlike when I was accepted to CofC. I think it's because it's.. a conflict of interest. Not only was I expecting to be rejected by Clemson, I was expecting that rejection to help fuel my motivation to go to CofC. This (acceptance) kind of... doesn't help.

Coastal Carolina has offered me $1,000 to attend their University. Frankly I think I'm worth more than that but I'm sure the offer will increase as other scholarship offers are declined.

As some of you may know I have already put down my deposit and really got the ball rolling at College of Charleston. I am invited to a Shabbat dinner with the Jewish organization there in March sometime, which I may or may not attend. I want to, but definitely not by myself.

We shall see.

*deep breath*

I am going to make the down payment to live in a room by myself in April. Do I need to do anything else in preparation to go to CofC?

We should totally live in the same building.

There is a way you can live by yourself? On campus? I wasn't aware of that. I would totally love to live in the same building! But I had no idea we could live by ourselves as freshman.

Yeah, its only like $90 more a month.

I want to live on Bull Street, but lets not share that information with people, because it obviously has the nicer housing of the individual-roomed residences available.

Thank you VERY much for sharing that information with me. I just updated my housing application. The first housing building I requested was actually an honours dorm (Buist), and it says that the individual housing is typically for upperclassmen - but hopefully they'll make an exception with one of the two. My third choice was College Lodge.

I'm really, really hesitant about having a roommate. I would be beyond excited if I were able to live by myself.

It says that they are separated into single, double, and triple rooms (the houses). Did you call CofC to ask about living alone?

Yeah, the idea of living with someone kind of frightens me. I desperately want to make it into one of those individual rooms.

I did not call them. I assumed the tuition cost more for individual rooms because of their availability. I know that's why I want it!
